Business owner, makeup artist, and Christ follower Rashavia Peterson has refined the hashtag #WCW. Woman Crush Wednesday is now Woman Boss Wednesdays!
Only 21 years old,
Rashavia is not new to the game but she is trying to make a name for herself in today’s media. Pembroke, Florida is where she first started a name for herself in her community. She always had passion to uplift and inspire women of all ages, so when she was in high school she started her first small group called GIRLS 2 WOMEN , which was a club created to empower girls becoming young adults. A few times out the month young girls would meet with Rashavia, her mother, and other women to discuss different topics. This was good for the girls since in today's media, women have lost their purpose in the world and as the christian she is, Rashavia pushes to continue to mold virtuous women. Later she started IT’S A GIRL THANG the following year, a movement created for girls by girls to uplift each other. Although it was intended to be a radio talk show (GIRL TALK), Rashavia and her partner Angela brought it to reality by hosting their first GIRL TALK at her local park. They had a huge picnic with young women having open discussions about different things and each woman took home a flower pot that represented growth!
Rashavia does not consider herself a blogger, but she plans on using her blog to inspire women by interviewing successful women about life and business until she makes her transition into vlogging. Since God has a plan for everyone and her girl group and movement came to an end, he birth her with something greater. Thus creating Woman Boss Wednesday, another way to continue to connect with women and help them reach their full potential.
Although seeing other bloggers and talk show host doing the things she wants to be doing can be discouraging, Rashavia stays motivated. She reminds herself that everyone’s journey is different and that she will reach people in a way that someone else can’t. She aspires to host her very own talk show, where she brings on different women bosses, bringing her blogging to life. With aspirations like these Rashavia thinks it is very important to push yourself, but to also take time out to do things for yourself and reflect. Running a growing business can be challenging, but Rashavia stays well organized because she believe it is important to stay consistent. She sets a time to get up every morning to do things for Woman Boss Wednesday because people may not say anything to you, but they are watching you and consistency is a major key!
Promoting, uniting, and inspiring women are just some of the major keys for Woman Boss Wednesday.
We all wonder who’s the woman that inspires Rashavia to want to uplift and help other women? There is a lot of women in her life that have taught her a lot of different things, so she couldn’t just pick one. Her mom and little sister is her driving force to her motivation. Her mom is very supportive and is always there for her no matter what. While her sister strength and drive pushes her to not give up on herself. With all the love and support Rashavia gets from her family she shares it with each of her readers. She recently had her first Prom Giveaway, giving one lucky girl the ultimate makeover. 3 bundles of hair (@plushfrontals) , a full face makeup (@nyeishathemua) , and a full set of nails done (@nails_by_von), a high school girl dream!
But that is not it, be on the lookout in May for Mommy Boss Wednesday, when every Wednesday will feature a mom. On her instagram page their will be a flyer of how you can enter you mom for a chance to be on Woman Boss Wednesday blog! It doesn’t stop there, by the end of the year she wants to have a Woman’s Mixer. Bringing women together to connect and learn from each other. We are excited to see what Rashavia and Women Boss Wednesday have in store for the world! #WomenForWomen #BlackGirlMagic
